SIPFLS High School Programme (IB/AP)
Learning Corners  Assembly

Summary of Events from IB Assembly

An assembly was held for all International Baccalaureate Diploma Program students today to remind them what is expected of them. Ordering food from outside vendors during lunchtime is strictly prohibited. Hand phones are not allowed in classrooms and must be stored in student lockers during school hours, with the exception of lunch. Hand phones used during unauthorized hours will be confiscated. Laptops must be used for school purposes only. Any student found using their laptop for other purposes will lose their privilege to use their laptop.

The students were also reminded that academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. There is no talking during exams, unless speaking with an exam invigilator. Furthermore, pencil cases must be transparent and calculator covers must be removed before entering the examination room. No hand phones or other electronic devices are allowed in examination rooms whatsoever. Copying from another students work or allowing another student to copy from you is considered cheating. Any student deemed guilty of academic dishonesty will suffer serious consequences.

Students who break any of the aforementioned rules, or any of the rules detailed in the Student Handbook, willreceive up to three formal warning letters home. If a student should break a rule again, they will get detention. Another offense will lead to an in-school suspension in which case the student will be barred from receiving any recommendation letters in the future. A final offense will result in expulsion from the school. Suzhou Industrial Park Foreign Language School hopes that these reminders for student conduct will help facilitate a healthy learning environment for all students.
