IB Year 10 CAS Service Trip to Hong Kong (Day 2)

It was a thrilling morning as we started the day with the Cheung Chau challenge after breakfast.

It was like the Amazing Race on TV but students competed against one another in House team groups.

The students were given clues to find places on the Island and they ran around the island to complete the specific tasks.

Though they were exhausted at the end of the race, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

In the afternoon, we took a trail which took us 2.5 hours to walk back to Pui O beach. Some of the paths were steep but our boys and girls demonstrated grid and determination to reach the destination.

One of the night activities was the scavenger hunt. The students were given a long list of “strange items or tasks” like finding a single strand of black hair, a picture of David Beckham, a green bar of soap, doing a tribal dance together etc. There were lots of fun and laughter.

The day ended with a long-awaited shower and a meaningful time of reflection of the 2 days of activities and teamwork.
